Here are some still photos I shot, mainly in Laggan Park, of the Float Parade that rounded off the Comrie Fortnight. You can see a video of the parade being led through the village by the Comrie Pipe Band in this post. A great variety of vehicles were decorated for the floats, from flat-bed lorries and tractor drawn trailers to saloon cars and mini jeeps. Lots of prizes are awarded for different categories of vehicle and age groups, so there are many winners. Anyone who is staying in Comrie parish during the Comrie Fortnight can enter. You just have to love dressing up like the locals!
The Float Parade was followed by a fun afternoon with sports such as tossing the sheaf, tug of war and hill races. There were various stalls as well as a bouncy castle and fairground rides for the children, and band and beer tent for the adults.
